Role Description
- We are looking for enthusiastic Entry-Level Engineers who are passionate about technology, problem-solving, and continuous learning.
- As an Engineer, you will work as part of a collaborative team contributing to the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of technology solutions. You will gain exposure to modern software engineering practices, cloud technologies, automation, data-driven decision making, and agile ways of working.
- This role provides an excellent opportunity to build a strong engineering foundation.
- This position is offered as a 12-month, project-based assignment, with the role focused on supporting the delivery of defined project objectives and business requirements during the assignment period.
- Participate in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software solutions.
- Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality technology solutions.
- Contribute to application development, system integration, automation, and operational support activities.
- Support troubleshooting, debugging, and issue resolution activities.
- Learn and apply software engineering best practices, coding standards, and secure development principles.
- Contribute to agile ceremonies, code reviews, testing activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build knowledge of cloud technologies, automation, DevOps practices, and modern engineering tools.
- Continuously develop technical and professional skills through training, mentoring, and hands-on experience.
- Support cyber hygiene remediation activities covering areas such as vulnerabilities, patching, configuration weaknesses and related control gaps.
- Assist in analysing remediation data to identify ageing vulnerability items, recurring issues, bottlenecks, ownership gaps and opportunities for process improvement.
- Support the development and enhancement of workflows for intake, triage, assignment, follow-up, escalation, evidence collection and closure tracking.
- Assist with data preparation, validation and reconciliation across approved source systems, dashboards and trackers.
- Work with application teams, infrastructure teams, vulnerability management teams and other stakeholders to clarify actions and support timely remediation.
- Support testing, documentation and controlled rollout of automation or workflow improvements, including user guidance and knowledge articles.
- Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience as a Developer or Software Engineer, preferably in backend or middleware development.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electronics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of programming fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented concepts.
- Knowledge of one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, or similar.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts.
- Familiarity with databases, APIs, and basic software architecture concepts.
- Exposure through academic projects, internships, hackathons, or personal projects.
- Understanding of cloud platforms, DevOps practices, or container technologies.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and collaborative development practices.
- Awareness of software testing and quality assurance principles.
- Demonstrates curiosity in leveraging AI-assisted tools and modern technologies to improve productivity and problem-solving.
- Uses critical thinking and sound judgment when working with AI-generated outputs and data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
