Pre-Construction Administrator - Fixed-Term Maternity Cover
Job Role: Pre-construction Administrator (Maternity Cover)
Location: Stoke, Plymouth
Salary: £26,000-28,000 dependant on experience (per annum based on Full time hours 37.5hrs)
Job Type: Part-time, Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 3.00pm, 27.5hrs per week. We may be able to discuss some flexibility for the right candidate.
Start Date: Early to mid November 2026 to allow for a handover.

About the role
We are looking for an organised and proactive Pre-Construction Administrator to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract. This part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping people, documents and deadlines on track, while supporting a busy pre-construction and estimating team through the tendering process. You will play an important role in helping tender information, documentation, deadlines and communication, working closely with internal teams as well as clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers where required.
What you’ll be doing
· Providing day-to-day administrative support to the pre-construction and estimating teams.
· Helping coordinate tender opportunities from receipt through to submission.
· Setting up and maintaining tender files, electronic folders, registers and trackers.
· Monitoring tender portals, communications, deadlines, clarifications and updates.
· Supporting the preparation, collation, formatting and issue of tender documentation.
· Maintaining accurate records, version control and confidential commercial information.
· Liaising professionally with colleagues, clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
· Producing spreadsheets, reports, correspondence and meeting notes where required.
About you
· You have previous experience in an administrative or coordination role.
· You are highly organised, methodical and able to manage multiple priorities.
· You have strong attention to detail and take pride in producing accurate work.
· You communicate clearly and professionally with a range of stakeholders.
· You are confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
· You can work independently, support a wider team and stay calm under pressure.
· Experience in construction, property, engineering, pre-construction or tendering would be advantageous, but is not essential.
