Project Accountant | Fort Lauderdale / West Palm Beach, FL | $80K-$100K Base

A growing construction organization is looking to add an experienced Project Accountant to its South Florida team. This is a key role supporting Project Managers and multiple active construction projects, with responsibility across project accounting, billing, AP, job costing, and financial reporting.

Compensation: $80K–$100K base + 10% bonus

Schedule: 100% in-office initially, with potential flexibility over time

What You’ll Do:

• Support 3–5 construction projects at a time
• Manage monthly subcontractor billing and payment processes through Textura
• Track subcontractor compliance and lien waivers
• Process and post billings and payments through the company’s ERP system
• Reconcile Textura activity with the ERP to ensure accuracy
• Assist with monthly project invoicing
• Support job cost reporting and project financial recordkeeping
• Communicate with subcontractors and vendors regarding invoices and payment status
• Assist with project financial audits throughout the project lifecycle
• Partner closely with Project Managers and project teams on accounting and financial matters

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of accounting experience; open to a broad range of experience
• Background in AP, invoicing, project accounting, and/or job costing
• Construction accounting experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Florida lien laws and lien waivers
• Experience with subcontractor billing/payments and project invoicing
• Textura, Vista, and Procore experience highly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
• Strong Excel, organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Understanding of the local South Florida construction market
