Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
- Enterprise cryptography and cryptographic asset management
- PKI, certificate lifecycle management, and trust services
- Key management systems and HSMs
- Cryptographic inventory and discovery platforms
- Security architecture and system integration
- Proof-of-concept and pilot execution
- Post-quantum cryptography readiness and migration planning
- Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering.
- Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
- Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.
- Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
- Evaluate technical capabilities of vendors responding to the Cryptographic Discovery and Cryptography Posture Management RFP.
- Participate in solution scoring and technical due diligence activities.
- Design, build, and execute proof-of-concept and pilot environments for shortlisted vendors.
- Validate cryptographic discovery coverage across certificates, keys, protocols, PKI infrastructure, and related cryptographic assets.
- Test integrations with enterprise data sources and systems of record to validate inventory, ownership attribution, and operational workflows.
- Assess solution scalability, coverage, operational fit, and implementation requirements.
- Produce technical findings, architecture recommendations, and implementation plans for leadership review.
- Support transition from evaluation to deployment planning and production onboarding efforts.
