Contract Duration: 12 Months

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Enterprise cryptography and cryptographic asset management
  • PKI, certificate lifecycle management, and trust services
  • Key management systems and HSMs
  • Cryptographic inventory and discovery platforms
  • Security architecture and system integration
  • Proof-of-concept and pilot execution
  • Post-quantum cryptography readiness and migration planning

What You Will Be Doing

  • Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering.
  • Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
  • Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
  • Evaluate technical capabilities of vendors responding to the Cryptographic Discovery and Cryptography Posture Management RFP.
  • Participate in solution scoring and technical due diligence activities.
  • Design, build, and execute proof-of-concept and pilot environments for shortlisted vendors.
  • Validate cryptographic discovery coverage across certificates, keys, protocols, PKI infrastructure, and related cryptographic assets.
  • Test integrations with enterprise data sources and systems of record to validate inventory, ownership attribution, and operational workflows.
  • Assess solution scalability, coverage, operational fit, and implementation requirements.
  • Produce technical findings, architecture recommendations, and implementation plans for leadership review.
  • Support transition from evaluation to deployment planning and production onboarding efforts.
