About Hexa
Hexa (formerly eFounders) gives entrepreneurs the best chances to build outstanding companies.
We are a pioneering, world-leading startup studio born in Europe that designs, builds and launches category-defining startups. We are today recognized as one of the best venture studios in the world, with a track record comparable to tier-1 VC funds.
We have created 60+ companies (including 3 unicorns) with a combined valuation of over $5 billion, among them Aircall, Spendesk, Front, Swan and Yousign. We are passionate about B2B software, particularly AI-native and agentic SaaS, fintech, climate tech, etc.
Hexa is in full growth mode, with three early-stage activities: our Ventures programs Hexa Start and Hexa Sprint which help entrepreneurs go from zero to one, and a PE program, Hexa Scale, which takes majority stakes in existing startups and pushes them to new thresholds.
The AI-native vertical at Hexa: WTF
WTF (“Walk The Frontier”) is leading Hexa’s effort at the frontier of AI model and led by Raphaël Vullierme, a repeat founder who built Luko France #1 online home insurer now part of Allianz, previous CEO of OpenJet an uber for private aviation, and started out launching ventures at Rocket Internet. We build companies with Europe’s best founders, global from day zero, with offices in Paris and San Francisco.
We’re building across three theses:
Physical AI / Defense / Infrastructure to answer European sovereignty need.
This means we are building real technology with very fast time to market and value by moving atoms and not only bits.AI is the buyer.
Buying decision are being taken by Agent or from an AI analysis. AI process more data and is less irrational / emotional than human. Cost to compare, switch, quote is trending to 0. This will have an enormous impact on market, what get sold or buy way beyond retail and ecommerce. This will much more transformative to the economy than the efficiency gains most AI startup currently focus on.Financial Services & Regulated business.
Raphael was CEO of a full stack & regulated insurer. AI is eating the moat of large Financial institution and we are working to re-invent risk and capital is being moved and allocated.
We started in Jan 26 and so far WTF has had a very prolific year building 3 companies. The 2 first raised large seed 4 from TopTier VC 4month after the inception in 2 very different vertical.
WaniWani Agentic Commerce Infrastructure for financial services. Leading Banks, Insurers such as Chubb, Satender, BPI, Axa, Generali runs their AI distribution (selling insurance/mortgage to AI agent - on chatGPT/Gemini…) on Waniwani platform. Several million in ARR reach on Year 1 with US being fastest growing market.
Pelagon is building a foundational acoustic AI model for autonomous maritime protection, deployed across a distributed network of underwater and surface vectors to give European navies real-time understanding of underwater threats. Working with several EU navies and deployed commercially.
It is a rare role to build category-defining companies learn how they get built, from the inside, at the frontier of AI. High intensity team, high challenge, high worker and learned.
The mission
We’re looking for a Chief of Staff to be the execution backbone of WTF: right hand to Raphaël and to our founders, bringing an operator’s rigor to fast-moving, still-forming teams. The role splits into two:
80% - real company-building
Hands-on helping our founders operate their companies across the whole lifecycle, from early discovery and scoping a new idea, through founder search, to building and scaling once it’s live.
Go-to-market, your main focus: you own GTM for each company: positioning, first customers, sales, pricing, go-to-market experiments, and the tools, automations and trackers needed to run them. Hexa’s central pool covers product and design; GTM sits with you. You are part of the company and our growth depend on you.
In the operational rhythm of each company: weekly kick-offs, product meetings, end-of-week recaps. You own the cadence, objectives set, notes written, decisions tracked, and leverage AI so we focus our time on building and selling not writing down plans.
The founders’ first port of call on anything outside their own scope, and the interface between the ventures and the rest of Hexa (Finance, Legal, Talent, Comms), pulling in the right resource when a project needs it.
20% - studio operations
How we run as a studio: keeping the machine sharp and the founder pipeline full.
Discovery transforming new ideas into tangible opportunities: discovery outreach and meeting, market sizing, value chain, positioning, the opportunity note that gets a project greenlit.
Growing the founder pipeline: working with the Talent team on the sourcing strategy for each new project, gathering top talent in the industry and making WTF visible to the best potential founders and ecosystem players.
Building visibility: working with the brand team on Raphaël’s and the studio’s reputation.
Improving how the studio (and Hexa) runs: sharpening shared AI agent and tooling (GTM ex: github repo), playbooks and best practice (ex: grokbot rollout), and reusable systems that make the studio & Hexa as a whole compound over time.
Who we’re looking for.
2 to 4 years of experience as founder, go-to-market, growth, operations or even engineering in tech company/ecossystem. This is your shot to build real things, not assist. How you execute and you track executing matters more than the title on your resume.
A builder. You’ve been hands-on inside an early-stage startup, or founded something yourself, and you build things: automations, tools, dashboards, experiments.
A genuine go-to-market appetite: you’re not afraid to reach out cold, and you like the hands-on part of landing the first customers. You will meet real people and sell while being nobody for them.
High agency. You’re the person who figures it out and ships, without waiting to be told how.
Hard worker and hungry: you want to be part of building great companies, and you bring energy, hard work and rigor to it.
AI nerd: you use AI tools on a daily basis and constantly test switch to better setup.
Comfortable being in front of people: reaching out to founders, hosting events, representing the studio.
