Sr. Firmware Engineer

Location: Taunton, MA
We are working with a DoD client that needs a Sr. Firmware Engineer for a project helping with their autonomous undersea systems, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the next generation of AUV systems.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience;
- OR Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
- Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Design and implement bare-metal firmware in C for ARM Cortex-M and other microcontroller architectures
- Develop drivers and low-level interfaces for peripherals including SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO, ADC, PWM, and timer modules
- Profile and optimize code for performance, power consumption, and memory constraints
- Work closely with hardware engineers, systems architects, and product teams to translate requirements into firmware solutions
- Nice to Have, Use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers (SWD, JTAG), and embedded testing frameworks to validate firmware functionality
