FAE Manager

The Field Application Engineer (FAE) Manger leads the U.S. FAE team in providing technical support before and after sales, helping drive new business opportunities and successfully transitioning customer projects into mass production. This role serves as the technical liaison between customers, the U.S. sales organization, and the engineering teams at the company’s headquarters in Taiwan.

The FAE manager is responsible for overseeing customer technical engagements, mentoring and developing the FAE team, prioritizing technical resources, and ensuring timely resolution of customer issues. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of Flash and DRAM technologies, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.


Principal Responsibilities

  1. Lead, mentor, and manage the U.S. Field Application Engineering team, providing technical guidance, coaching, and performance management.
  2. Partner closely with the Sales team to develop technical strategies that support business growth and customer success.
  3. Oversee pre-sales and post-sales technical support for Flash and DRAM products.
  4. Coordinate technical resources to ensure timely resolution of customer issues and successful project execution.
  5. Collaborate with headquarters engineering teams to communicate customer requirements, technical feedback, and product improvements.
  6. Review and oversee product evaluations, customer sample testing, and product certifications.
  7. Ensure high-quality Failure Analysis reports and maintain accurate technical documentation and failure analysis records.
  8. Deliver technical presentations, product training, and demonstrations for customers, partners, and internal teams.


Requirements

  1. Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop technical teams.
  2. Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  3. Excellent customer communication and relationship-building skills.
  4. Strong presentation and technical communication abilities.
  5. Ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure and resolve complex customer issues efficiently.


Technical Skills

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  2. Strong technical knowledge of Flash memory, DRAM, embedded systems, and storage technologies.
  3. Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
  4. Experience with BASH scripting.
  5. Experience working with Virtual Machines.
  6. Working knowledge of computer architecture and system boot processes.


Preferred Background

  1. 10+ years of Field Application Engineering or related technical support experience in Flash, DRAM, storage, or embedded systems.
  2. Previous experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.
  3. Knowledge of SATA, PCIe, and NVMe standards.
  4. Experience supporting OEM/ODM customers.
  5. Bilingual in English and Mandarin


Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
