This is an exciting opportunity for someone with networking experience who enjoys problem-solving, working with modern technologies and supporting business-critical systems. You'll be involved in both day-to-day operational support and infrastructure projects, working across our Cisco Meraki-based WAN, data centre environments and security platforms.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Network Engineer, you'll be responsible for supporting and maintaining our network environment while helping to deliver technology projects across the Group.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Acting as a key point of contact for network-related incidents and service requests.
- Troubleshooting and resolving WAN, LAN, wireless and firewall issues.
- Managing and escalating support tickets with third-party vendors and service providers.
- Monitoring network performance and ensuring optimal service availability.
- Supporting network change activities, deployments and infrastructure upgrades.
- Assisting with device installations, cabling and configuration activities.
- Working alongside senior engineers on network improvement and transformation projects.
- Providing hands-on support within data centres and head office locations when required.
- Maintaining network documentation, asset records and configuration standards.
- Ensuring security best practices and change management processes are followed.
You'll Ideally Have
- At least 2 years' experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
- Experience with Cisco Meraki networking technologies including MX, MS and MR platforms.
- Experience supporting SD-WAN environments across multiple locations.
- Knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs and firewall policies.
- Experience troubleshooting LAN, WAN, internet and wireless connectivity issues.
- Experience working with ISPs and third-party providers to resolve incidents.
- Understanding of VPN technologies and data centre connectivity.
- Experience maintaining technical documentation and supporting infrastructure upgrades.
- CCNA
- CompTIA Network+
- You will gain exposure to a wide range of enterprise technologies, including:
- Cisco Meraki Dashboard (MX, MS, MR, MG and Catalyst)
- Cisco Nexus (NX-OS)
- Dell OS10 Switching
- Palo Alto PAN-OS and GlobalProtect
- LogicMonitor and network monitoring platforms
- ITSM and change management systems
