Role Description: The Coordinator, ASME Sections role is a full-time hybrid position based in Delhi, NY, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. This role coordinates activities and operations of ASME Sections, including scheduling meetings and events, supporting local programs, and assisting with member communications. The coordinator maintains accurate records of section activities, prepares reports and documentation, and ensures alignment with ASME guidelines and standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing administrative support to section leaders, handling correspondence, updating databases and online platforms, and facilitating collaboration among volunteers and staff. The role also involves supporting outreach initiatives, promoting participation in ASME programs, and contributing to the smooth running of section activities.


Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, including scheduling, recordkeeping, and event support.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with members, volunteers, and staff.
  • Proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets) and comfort using online collaboration platforms.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize in a hybrid work environment.
  • Attention to detail in documentation, reporting, and adherence to guidelines and procedures.
  • Interest in or exposure to engineering, technical societies, or professional associations is an advantage.
  • Experience in coordination, administrative support, or member services roles is beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as business administration, communications, or engineering is preferred.
