About The Role

Infrastructure Applications is a team of seven engineers responsible for central infrastructure services and platforms within Tele2. We operate and develop business-critical systems used across the organization and are part of Mobile Core Network, responsible for ensuring stable and secure operation and development of Tele2's mobile network.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating, maintaining and developing Linux-based systems and infrastructure services
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving in complex technical environments
  • Automating recurring operational tasks and improving existing ways of working
  • Lifecycle management, including patching, upgrades and platform maintenance
  • Working with central services within areas such as DNS, logging and observability
  • Participating in technical projects and contributing to knowledge sharing within the team

You are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team and enjoy an environment where multiple systems, platforms and technical dependencies interact.

We believe you have:

  • Strong experience working with and operating Linux environments
  • Experience from large-scale virtual and physical server environments
  • Good understanding of networking and IT infrastructure
  • Experience with scripting and automation
  • Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, Go and/or C
  • Understanding of lifecycle management, patching and system upgrades
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken

Preferred Qualifications

It is an advantage if you have experience or knowledge within one or more of the following areas:

  • DNS infrastructure
  • Elasticsearch
  • Logging and observability
  • Infrastructure within telecommunications
  • Infrastructure automation
  • Experience from highly available and business-critical infrastructure environments

Technical curiosity, problem-solving ability and a willingness to learn and develop are just as important to us as experience with a specific product or technology.
