Willis Knighton Health System is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive IT Technician (Desktop Engineer) to join our Information Technology Department. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of desktop infrastructure and end-user computing environments across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support for desktop and laptop hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and related equipment.
• Perform hardware upgrades, replacements, and preventive maintenance.
• Support LAN/WAN/Wireless network troubleshooting and connectivity.
• Document service requests, resolutions, and asset tracking.
• Collaborate with other IT staff to support enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours support.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or field technician roles.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking.
• Ability to work independently and travel between sites with reliable transportation.
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Understanding of IT asset management and inventory control.
