US Payroll Specialist


Location: Apodaca, Nuevo León, Mexico (Hybrid)

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Position Overview


The US Payroll Specialist is responsible for supporting the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of payroll for employees across the United States. This role partners closely with Human Resources, Finance, payroll vendors, and employees to ensure payroll transactions are completed efficiently and in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and experienced in US payroll operations, including payroll taxes, compliance, and payroll systems. This position directly contributes to employee satisfaction, operational excellence, and business continuity.


What you'll do

  • Process end-to-end US payroll activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Review and validate payroll data, including new hires, terminations, promotions, payroll adjustments, and employee deductions.
  • Support payroll tax activities, garnishments, W-2 processing, and other payroll compliance requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and payroll-related issues.
  • Perform payroll audits, data reconciliations, and payroll reporting activities.
  • Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data accuracy within payroll systems.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Benefits, and external payroll providers to support payroll operations.
  • Participate in payroll process improvement, automation, and system enhancement initiatives.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting US payroll operations.
  • Experience working with ADP payroll platforms.
  • Experience with Oracle, Workday, SAP, or other HRIS/payroll systems.
  • Knowledge of US federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Experience handling payroll taxes, garnishments, and employee deductions.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and payroll vendors.
  • Availability to work in a hybrid environment in Apodaca, Nuevo León.
