The Role

We are seeking a skilled Android Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications. This part-time remote position is suited to a developer who enjoys solving technical challenges, building intuitive mobile experiences, and collaborating with product and engineering teams. You will contribute throughout the application lifecycle, from feature development and integration to testing, optimization, and ongoing improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Android applications and mobile features.
• Build clean, scalable, and maintainable code using modern Android development practices.
• Translate product requirements and designs into functional mobile experiences.
• Integrate REST APIs, third-party services, databases, and mobile platform capabilities.
• Implement responsive interfaces with strong usability and performance.
• Conduct debugging, testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Identify and resolve application defects and technical issues.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, backend developers, and QA teams.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards.
• Monitor application performance and support continuous product improvements.
• Keep up to date with Android platform updates, development tools, and industry practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of professional Android development experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin and/or Java.
• Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, APIs, and mobile application architecture.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Git, JSON, databases, and third-party integrations.
• Understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive mobile interface development.
• Experience with testing, debugging, performance optimization, and application deployment.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment.
• Professional certifications are not required unless relevant to the role.
