We are seeking technically skilled, analytical, and solutions-oriented professionals for the positions of Network Engineer, Telecommunications Specialist, and Telecommunications Engineer. These roles are responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing network and telecommunications infrastructure to support reliable, secure, and efficient connectivity.
The successful candidate will work closely with IT, engineering, operations, security, vendors, and other technical teams to maintain network performance and resolve connectivity challenges. Responsibilities may include network architecture, infrastructure deployment, telecommunications systems, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, configuration, documentation, and technical improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Design, configure, implement, and maintain network and telecommunications infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, connectivity, and overall system health.
- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, VPNs, gateways, and related network equipment.
- Support telecommunications systems, voice and data networks, transmission systems, and connectivity services.
- Troubleshoot network outages, connectivity issues, performance problems, and infrastructure faults.
- Conduct network diagnostics and identify root causes of technical incidents.
- Plan and support network upgrades, expansions, migrations, installations, and infrastructure improvement projects.
- Coordinate with telecommunications providers, equipment vendors, contractors, and technical partners.
- Perform network testing, configuration validation, system checks, and performance assessments.
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, technical documentation, asset records, and operational procedures.
- Support network security initiatives by implementing appropriate access controls, segmentation, monitoring, and security practices.
- Monitor bandwidth utilization, network capacity, traffic patterns, and service performance.
- Assist with disaster recovery, backup connectivity, redundancy, and business continuity requirements.
- Participate in incident response and provide timely technical support for critical network or telecommunications issues.
- Review technical requirements and recommend appropriate network technologies, equipment, and solutions.
- Support wireless, LAN, WAN, VPN, VoIP, fiber, IP, and other relevant communication technologies.
- Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for improving network reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
- Prepare technical reports, incident summaries, performance reports, and project documentation.
- Work collaboratively with infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, systems, and operations teams.
- Stay informed about emerging networking and telecommunications technologies and identify opportunities for technical improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Network Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of networking principles, telecommunications technologies, infrastructure architecture, and connectivity systems.
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VLAN, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VPN, wireless networking, and related technologies.
- Familiarity with telecommunications systems, fiber networks, IP communications, VoIP, transmission technologies, and network infrastructure is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues.
- Understanding of network security principles, access controls, firewalls, segmentation, and secure connectivity.
- Comfortable working with network monitoring, configuration, diagnostic, and management tools.
- Familiarity with network equipment from major technology vendors is beneficial.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Network+, or telecommunications-related certifications are an advantage but not mandatory unless required for the role.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret network performance data, logs, configurations, and technical documentation.
- Ability to create and maintain network diagrams, technical documentation, procedures, and reports.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple technical tasks and priorities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with IT, engineering, vendors, and operational teams.
