Overview. Entry technician tier performing foundational break-fix, installation, and operations support under the direction of L2/L3 technicians while building site-specific proficiency.
Key responsibilities:
- Basic break-fix support for servers, switches, routers, and storage under supervision
- Assist with hardware/software installation, cabling, labeling, and testing
- Support rack, cabinet, and enclosure installation and equipment staging
- Monitor infrastructure alerts and escalate promptly per SOP
- Maintain accurate inventory and asset/cable records using Fluidstack-specified tooling
- Work any shift on a 24/7 basis, including weekends and holidays
Requirements:
- Foundational data center or IT hardware experience; hands-on aptitude
- Willingness to learn structured cabling and network fundamentals on the job
- Documentation discipline; reliable attendance and communication
- Able to lift equipment up to 50 lbs; flexible 24/7 availability
