Overview. Performs advanced hardware and network operations with minimal oversight; owns priority incidents end-to-end and isolates root cause across server, storage, and network layers.
Key responsibilities:
- Break-fix repair and replacement of servers, switches, routers, optics, and storage
- Hardware/software installation, configuration, cabling, and testing; structured-cabling termination and MAC activity (copper & fiber)
- Rack, cabinet, and enclosure installation; equipment preparation, staging, and energization
- Network-operations support: connectivity troubleshooting, system-level diagnosis, and link/port verification
- Monitor infrastructure alerts and respond promptly; proactive inspections and hazard reporting
- Accurate updates to asset and cable-management systems using Fluidstack-specified tooling
- Draft and maintain SOPs/MOPs; mentor L1 personnel where present
- Work any shift on a 24/7 basis, including weekends and holidays
Requirements:
- Structured cabling and protocol fluency (Ethernet, fiber, DWDM/CWDM, MPLS as applicable)
- BMS/EPMS familiarity; strong documentation discipline
- Able to lift 50 lbs.; flexible 24/7 availability
