L1 Data Center Technician
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic break/fix support for servers, switches, routers, and storage under L2/L3 guidance
- Assist with hardware/software installation, equipment staging, rack and cabinet installation
- Perform structured cabling, labeling, testing, and troubleshooting
- Monitor infrastructure alerts and escalate issues according to SOPs
- Maintain accurate inventory, asset, and cable records
- Follow data center safety and operational procedures
Requirements:
- Foundational data center, IT hardware, telecom, or related experience
- Hands-on experience with servers, networking equipment, or cabling preferred
- Willingness to learn network and structured cabling fundamentals
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Reliable attendance and ability to work in a 24/7 environment
- Ability to lift equipment up to 50 lbs
