This is an INFRASTUCTURE PROJECT MANAGEMENT role. If you have never partnered with construction teams or facilities for office build outs, data center builds, physical relocations or similar initiatives, please do not apply.
This is a long term CONTRACT role expected to go 2+ years and could extend even longer.
The IT Technical Project Manager is responsible for simultaneously executing multiple technical projects across a wide range of customer groups and project types. Utilizing technical knowledge in areas such as networking, hardware, and servers along with an understanding of general workflows, assesses business and technical requirements of projects and coordinates across multiple teams to develop and deliver solutions while ensuring established technology standards are followed and introducing new technologies when appropriate.
Responsible for the planning, oversight, and documentation of all aspects of the project lifecycle. Will work closely with leadership to ensure project scope, timelines, and deliverables remain on schedule, while collaborating with other departments and project teams for support. Advises leadership on technology solutions to meet business requirements, including new and emerging technologies. Serves as a mentor to other Project Managers, Team Leaders, and Resource Managers. Accountable to Program and/or Portfolio Manager(s) for project status reporting for relevant customer groups.
Essential Job Functions
- Lead and manage end-to-end technical projects (primarily infrastructure), ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including OIT, clinical, and administrative departments, to define the technical project scope, objectives, and deliverables, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring alignment and technical feasibility.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, technical system specifications, timelines, and budgets, and communicate project status to stakeholders regularly.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing issues to keep projects on track.
- Work closely with Facilities Engineering, external contractors, and internal technical teams to ensure alignment of hardware and software technology options with project goals and effective utilization of resources.
- Manage implementation of the design, support, audit, and management of applicable infrastructure.
- Participate in planning meetings with vendors and key stakeholders to understand and respond to infrastructure impacts.
- Evaluate project outcomes against established goals, seeking continuous improvement in project management processes.
- Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate change management and verification techniques.
- Schedule and supervise the task execution of engineers and technicians assigned to projects.
- Perform risk and issue management to minimize project risks and issues.
- Create technical diagrams, hardware and software specifications, and process flows.
- Remain informed of technical and management advances in IT, Digital Technology, and PMO practices, including industry best practices.
- Be willing to work hours as dictated by project schedules, which may include nights and weekends.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Bachelor's degree; equivalent relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree, requiring an additional four years of applicable experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of Information Technology (IT).
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience or equivalent leadership experience.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge in areas such as networking, hardware, and servers.
- Extensive knowledge, expertise, and leadership capabilities in project management and systems development methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience developing and delivering presentations, training sessions, and demonstrations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong facilitation, organizational, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Working knowledge of standard productivity and project management tools such as Google Workspace, Asana, ServiceNow, and similar platforms.
