Senior Cybersecurity Engineer (EDR & CNAPP)

Role Overview

• Position: Senior Cybersecurity Engineer
• Employment Type: Freelance / External Consultant
• Start Date: Within a Month from selection
• Location: Remote within the EU
• Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to Luxembourg - one week every quarter at the time.

About The Project

You will play a critical role in securing large-scale enterprise environments. You will be responsible for evaluating, deploying, and maintaining advanced endpoint and cloud security tools across diverse infrastructures, including on-premises and public cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Security Tool Management: Hands-on evaluation, deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of EDR and CNAPP (Sysdig) solutions.
• Technical Support & Administration: Assist internal system administration teams in deploying and maintaining security agents across enterprise environments.
• Multi-Platform Coverage: Manage and secure client and server endpoints spanning physical hosts, Virtual Machines (VMs), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and containers.
• OS & Environment Support: Support various operating systems including Windows, Linux, and MacOS across both on-premises and public cloud setups.
• Policy Enforcement: Define, enforce, test, and document custom security policies and procedures for containers, hosts, and orchestrators (specifically Kubernetes).

Mandatory Profile Requirements

Experience & Education

• Professional Experience: A minimum of six (6) years of professional IT experience in positions directly related to cybersecurity.
• Education: At least two (2) years of post-secondary education in an ICT-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or Computer Forensics).

Certifications (Minimum Of Two Required)

• Certification 1: At least one (1) industry-recognized certification in Cybersecurity.
• Certification 2: At least one (1) certification focusing on Engineering, Incident Response, Security Architecture, Solutions Design/Implementation, Governance, product-specific tools, or relevant programming languages.

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Proven, hands-on experience and formal training in EDR and CNAPP (Sysdig) or direct equivalents.
• Strong hands-on experience working with virtualization and container technologies (specifically Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of multi-OS security (Windows, Linux, MacOS).

Language & General Criteria

• Language: Professional English proficiency (B2 level minimum, C1/C2 preferred).
