Must Haves:
hands-on technical or manufacturing background with experience working around robotics, welding equipment, production equipment, or manufacturing engineering and is comfortable with troubleshooting, equipment installation, programming, and supporting new-model launches.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Weld Seibi Technician to support new-model chassis and welding equipment projects. This role will be responsible for robot programming, equipment setup and validation, troubleshooting, and supporting manufacturing production launches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform offline and/or online robot programming.
- Inspect, prepare, and validate new or modified welding and chassis equipment.
- Confirm equipment meets required standards and performs as intended.
- Support equipment preparation and installation at vendor locations.
- Support Body/Chassis Seibi activities from equipment installation through start of production.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolution of equipment and production issues.
- Communicate effectively with Seibi team members, project leaders, management, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in hands-on training and provide On-the-Job Training (OJT) to team members.
- Support chassis and welding equipment projects at manufacturing plants and supplier locations.
- Follow standardized work and maintain a strong focus on Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost.
- Participate in continuous improvement and Kaizen activities.
Required Qualifications:
- 1–6 years of relevant technical, manufacturing, production engineering, welding, robotics, or equipment experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Technical/manufacturing background preferred.
- Ability to perform hands-on equipment setup, inspection, troubleshooting, and validation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to support domestic and international project assignments.
Travel & Work Schedule:
- Approximately 50% travel may be required.
- Current travel includes Kentucky and Indiana, with potential assignments across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
- International travel, including Japan, may be required.
- Overtime is common, with an average workweek of approximately 50 hours, including weekend work when needed.
