Infrastructure Services Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Services Engineer to join a growing global infrastructure team responsible for supporting and maintaining critical enterprise systems and datacentre environments.

This is a hands-on technical role suited to someone who enjoys troubleshooting, operational support, infrastructure improvement, and working across a wide range of technologies. The successful candidate will support core systems, contribute to infrastructure projects, and collaborate closely with technical teams to ensure services remain secure, resilient, and reliable.

The ideal candidate will have a broad technical background, a strong desire to learn, and a proactive approach to solving complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support virtualisation platforms and associated infrastructure.
• Implement security best practices and support infrastructure compliance initiatives.
• Perform system patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Support enterprise backup, replication, and disaster recovery platforms.
• Administer and maintain monitoring and alerting systems.
• Manage Windows and Linux server environments.
• Assist in the design and implementation of new infrastructure services and technical solutions.
• Support cloud-based platforms and infrastructure services.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure systems are configured and operating effectively.
• Contribute to infrastructure documentation, operational procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience identifying and resolving compute, storage, network, and application performance issues.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing and subnetting.
• Knowledge of physical and virtual networking technologies.
• Experience working within security-focused environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
• Experience working effectively in fast-paced and high-pressure environments.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Technical Experience

Working Hours: Standard business hours, Monday to Friday, with participation in an on-call rota to support critical systems as required.
