Key Responsibilities:
Cable Infrastructure Maintenance
- Install, test, and maintain structured cabling systems including Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cables.
- Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting of network cabling for performance and compliance.
- Label and document all network cabling according to internal standards.
- Install, configure, and maintain enterprise routers and network switches (Cisco or similar).
- Monitor network hardware for performance and faults and respond to outages or degradation of service.
- Apply firmware upgrades and ensure hardware is patched and secured according to best practices.
- Configure, install, and support VoIP, cloud and legacy Cisco phone systems. Cisco UCM and Cisco PSTN with Webex Calling
- Manage call routing, voicemail, extensions, and system integrations.
- Troubleshoot phone-related issues and provide user support as needed.
- Coordinate installation, repair and maintenance of telecom infrastructure.
- Work closely the Network Administrators to support overall infrastructure projects.
- Maintain documentation for all systems, hardware, and configurations.
- Assist with network expansion, upgrades and migrations as required.
- Network Printing Maintenance/Support
- Install and configure MFP and other print devices
- Order and maintain stock of print consumables
- Troubleshoot printing issues.
- Manage general help desk requests through ticket system, email and phone calls
- Participate in On-Call rotation for 24/7/365 help desk support-approximately 1 calendar week/month.
- Experience: 3–5 years of relevant telecom or network technician experience.
- Certifications (preferred but not required): CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of structured cabling systems.
- Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting routers and switches.
- Familiarity with VoIP systems and traditional PBX phone systems.
- Capable of maintaining and troubleshooting print devices on network.
- MS Office Application proficiency, specifically MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Visio.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- May require lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in server rooms, crawl spaces, ceilings, and other non-office environments.
- Frequent travel between sites requires reliable transportation.
