Chief Financial Officer

The Chief Financial Officer will serve as a true executive finance partner to the CEO, Executive Chairman, and Board. This is a hybrid mandate spanning both strategic FP&A leadership and executive-level SEC reporting ownership, alongside responsibility for modernizing a finance organization. The CFO will partner closely with an established Financial Reporting Director on technical SEC execution while retaining full ownership and accountability for the final result.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic finance partner to the CEO, Executive Chairman, Board, and senior leadership team.
• Maintain executive ownership and accountability for SEC reporting, including Form 10-K and Form 10-Q filings, in close partnership with the Financial Reporting Director.
• Lead enterprise financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting in partnership with the finance Director, building out formal FP&A capability.
• Modernize finance systems and reporting processes, reducing reliance on manual, spreadsheet-based workflows.
• Partner with technology leadership on finance systems modernization and broader technology-enabled transformation.
• Evaluate the current finance organization and shape the right long-term team structure.
• Support strategic decision-making across banking, SBA lending, payments, and fintech business lines.
• Present financial performance, risk, and strategic recommendations directly to the Board.

Qualifications

• Prior CFO experience or equivalent broad senior finance leadership
• Significant, hands-on SEC reporting experience, including direct ownership of 10-K and 10-Q processes.
• Demonstrated FP&A, planning, and forecasting leadership
• Experience operating in a public-company environment with direct CEO and Board exposure.
• Experience assessing, modernizing, or transforming finance processes and systems.
• Comfort operating at the intersection of banking, technology, and fintech.
