The SAP S/4HANA System Specialist will play a critical role in planning, executing, and supporting SANY America's SAP S/4HANA transformation program. This individual will participate throughout the entire project lifecycle, from business requirements gathering and solution design through testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. Following implementation, the successful candidate will own ongoing ERP operations, continuous improvement initiatives, and system optimization efforts to ensure the platform effectively supports business growth and operational excellence.
With current revenues over $500 million, SANY America continues to make strong progress and significant investments in the Americas market; the organization is now pursuing an aggressive growth strategy and is looking to move quickly beyond this initial platform and increase market share.
Key Responsibilities
ERP Transformation Leadership
- Support and drive the migration from SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA.
- Participate in ERP roadmap planning and implementation strategy development.
- Assist in evaluating and selecting SAP implementation partners and consultants.
- Collaborate on business process design, solution architecture, and system configuration.
- Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Support data migration planning, execution, and validation.
- Assist with cutover planning and go-live readiness activities.
- Provide post-implementation hyper care support.
- Manage project risks, issues, timelines, and action plans.
- Deliver project status updates to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Work with the sales team to develop channel strategy for asphalt pavers identifying dealer gaps, target geographies, and priority customer segments.
- Support the launch of new paver models in North America, coordinating across product, service, and marketing teams.
- Facilitate workshops with business leaders and end users.
- Gather, document, and analyze business requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve and standardize business processes.
- Evaluate SAP best practices and recommend scalable solutions.
- Minimize unnecessary customization while maximizing business value.
- Support key business functions including:
- Finance and Accounting
- Sales and Distribution
- Procurement and Inventory Management
- Manufacturing Operations
- Supply Chain Management
- Serve as the primary SAP system owner following go-live.
- Provide ongoing user support and issue resolution.
- Maintain SAP configurations and change management processes.
- Manage user access, security roles, and authorization controls.
- Coordinate upgrades, enhancements, patches, and system maintenance.
- Monitor system performance, integrations, and background jobs.
- Develop user training materials and support documentation.
- Maintain SOPs, knowledge bases, and operational documentation.
- Lead ERP enhancement initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Support internal audits, compliance requirements, and governance activities.
- 10+ years of SAP implementation and support experience.
- 5+ years of SAP S/4HANA experience.
- Experience participating in at least two full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations.
- Experience serving as a:
- Core Project Team Member
- Module Lead
- Solution Lead
- Solution Architect
- Strong understanding of manufacturing ERP environments.
- SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration projects.
- Brownfield migration experience.
- Global ERP rollouts.
- Multi-country implementation experience.
- Global template deployment experience.
