Role Description: The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for managing end-to-end accounts payable processes, including accurate invoice processing, matching, and timely payments to suppliers. Day-to-day tasks include verifying and reconciling vendor statements, resolving billing discrepancies, maintaining up-to-date records in the accounting system, and supporting month-end closing activities. The role works closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure clear communication, adherence to financial policies, and efficient handling of payment and invoice inquiries. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Petaling Jaya, with a combination of in-office work and some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Finance and Accounting skills, including basic knowledge of bookkeeping principles and accounts payable processes.
- Candidates should possess accurate Invoice Processing skills, including data entry, invoice matching, and reconciliation of supplier accounts.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication and Customer Service skills to liaise with vendors and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
- Relevant experience in an accounts payable or finance support role, ideally within a retail, e-commerce, or distribution environment.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel, with attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines, handle multiple tasks, and work both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid setting.
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
