Job Description

Division: Group Business Solutions (GBS)

Join our Group Business Solutions (GBS) division and help ensure the stability, performance, and reliability of the critical applications that support financial market operations. Working at the heart of our production environment, you will play a key role in troubleshooting complex issues, supporting business users, and continuously improving our application support services.

Your day-to-day mission

  • Provide expert support for business-critical applications across production and test environments.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex incidents and problems, minimizing business impact and ensuring service continuity.
  • Support application releases and deployments into test and production environments.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Respond to business and operational requests within agreed service levels.
  • Assess the production impact of large-scale changes and contribute to implementation planning.
  • Participate in disaster recovery testing, production site switches, and operational readiness activities.
  • Develop and enhance scripts, automation tools, and support processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to strengthen system stability, supportability, and performance.
  • Share knowledge, coach colleagues, and provide technical guidance based on your expertise.

What You Need To Succeed

  • Proven experience in Application Support, Production Support, or Service Support within a Linux environment.
  • Strong SQL skills and the ability to analyse data and troubleshoot application issues.
  • Experience writing and maintaining shell scripts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to incident resolution.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and take ownership of complex issues.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience with Java, Kafka, and OpenShift.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices and service management processes.
  • ITIL Foundation certification, or willingness to obtain it.
  • Experience supporting large-scale, business-critical applications in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Exposure to performance testing, database administration, or other specialist support disciplines.
  • Experience improving operational processes through automation and tooling.
