Your Responsibilities
As a Financial Reporting Accountant for JD Financial located in Johnston, IA, you will:
- Support the preparation and review of monthly financial results, as well as quarterly and annual SEC filings ensuring complete, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.
- Assist with the review, maintenance, and communication of accounting policies, accounting bulletins, and related reporting guidance.
- Support the assessment and implementation of new accounting and disclosure requirements, including researching accounting and reporting matters and preparing supporting documentation.
- Support process improvements, internal control activities, and other initiatives that enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and quality of financial reporting.
What Skills You Need
- 3 or more years of accounting or audit experience
- Strong understanding of US GAAP with the ability to apply that knowledge independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- Experience preparing US GAAP audited financial statements
- Experience at a global public accounting firm and/or public company
- Financial services experience
- Certified Public Accountant (active or inactive) license
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent related work experience
