We’re looking for a driven, relationship-focused Business Development Representative to join our sales team. What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll serve as a critical bridge between marketing activity, customer engagement, and the sales team—helping turn interest into opportunity.
Connect & Engage
Respond quickly to inbound leads, quote requests, and customer inquiries
Proactively reach out to new, existing, and past customers to uncover opportunities
Re-engage customers and identify upcoming projects, funding cycles, and needs
Qualify & Generate Opportunities:
Ask thoughtful questions to understand customer needs, timelines, and budgets
Generate qualified opportunities and support quote activity
Partner with Account Managers to move opportunities forward and increase conversion
Build Relationships:
Position School Outfitters as a trusted long-term partner
Deliver a positive, professional experience across phone, email, and chat
Build rapport and guide customers confidently through the buying process
Stay Organized & Collaborative:
Maintain accurate CRM notes, follow-ups, and pipeline activity
Share insights on customer trends, objections, and opportunities
Participate in training, campaigns, and occasional trade shows
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, curious, and energized by connecting with others.
2+ years of experience in outbound sales or lead generation activities
Strong communication and listening skills—you know how to uncover needs
Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Comfort using Microsoft Office and navigating multiple systems
Self-motivated with a goal-oriented mindset
Ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers
Willingness to travel (tradeshows or customer support)
