Network Administrator

EmbedIT is the Vietnamese engineering arm of a Czech fintech group (PPF Group), building and operating systems for financial services, data platforms, mobile applications, and core banking.

We are seeking an active and analytical Network Administrator to manage, maintain, and secure our enterprise network infrastructure. You will be responsible for the daily operations of our LAN, WAN, wireless, and security appliances (firewalls). In this role, you will collaborate with our cloud, system administration, and security operations teams to ensure maximum network performance and security.

You will run and secure the enterprise network behind large-scale financial platforms used by 140M+ users across Europe and Asia, keeping a secure, ultra-fast, 100% resilient backbone online across our offices and data centers. You will work hands-on with a Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and F5 stack, collaborating daily with our cloud, systems administration, and security operations teams in Saigon and across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, update, and troubleshoot enterprise switches and routers across offices and data centers (Cisco Catalyst/Nexus, Juniper, Arista).
• Manage firewall rules, IPsec VPN tunnels, and access control policies (Fortinet FortiGate, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA).
• Configure and manage load balancing, SSL offloading, and application availability (F5 BIG-IP, HAProxy).
• Monitor bandwidth, latency, and network health, and respond proactively to alerts (SolarWinds, PRTG, Prometheus/Grafana).
• Diagnose complex network issues with packet analyzers (Wireshark).
• Automate routine configuration changes and device backups (Python, Ansible, NetBox).
• Collaborate with cloud, systems administration, and security operations teams to maximise network performance and security.

Your Experience and Skills

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network administration.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, Spanning Tree (STP), and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
• Hands-on experience configuring IPsec VPNs, NAT, and firewall policies on Fortinet or Palo Alto.
• Proficient with packet analyzers (Wireshark) to diagnose complex network issues.
• Good English (B2) for daily collaboration with global teams; calm under pressure and highly structured.
• Cisco CCNA or CCNP Enterprise strongly preferred; Fortinet NSE 4/NSE 5 or Palo Alto PCNSA a plus.
• Nice to have: financial-grade or service provider network experience, SDN or SD-WAN, Network Access Control (Cisco ISE), public cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure ExpressRoute), and basic Python scripting for automation.
