Senior DevOps Engineer

EmbedIT is the Vietnamese engineering arm of a Czech fintech group (PPF Group), building and operating systems for financial services, data platforms, mobile applications, and core banking. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll own and evolve the infrastructure behind our enterprise projects in an Azure-first, hybrid cloud and on-premises environment typical of the banking domain.

This is a senior individual-contributor role with mentoring responsibility: beyond hands-on infrastructure and automation work, you'll guide junior engineers, lead technical improvements, and collaborate directly with international stakeholders across Vietnam and the Czech Republic.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Devops Pipelines, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
• Operate, scale, and optimize physical/On-prem/Private cloud and containerized workloads in production
• Provision and manage On-prem infrastructure (VMs, VNets, storage, IAM/RBAC) using Terraform or Bicep
• Design and maintain observability and alerting across System Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk
• Support, tune, and troubleshoot Weblogic and Tomcat, including JVM tuning and log analysis for Java applications
• Manage and fine-tune messaging and event systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) — configuration, log remediation, and performance tuning
• Automate operational tasks with Python and Bash scripting, and manage infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible
• Mentor junior DevOps engineers and drive technical standards across the team.

Your Experience and Skills

• 8+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure roles
• Strong hands-on devops/SRE experience in production: System Monitor, networking, storage, IAM/RBAC
• Production-grade Docker & Kubernetes experience.
• Terraform or Bicep for provisioning, plus Ansible for configuration management
• Strong Linux administration (Oracle Linux, Red Hat, CentOS)
• Hands-on Weblogic / Tomcat operational experience — configuration, tuning, troubleshooting
• Practical experience with Kafka and/or RabbitMQ
• Proficiency in Python and/or Bash scripting
• Strong English communication — you'll work directly with Czech hiring managers and international teams
