The Sales Specialist provides specialized consultation, education, training, and sales resources to peers and external partners. This is to enable Cisco and reseller success and acts as an extension of the Cisco organization driving programs and vendor initiatives to channel partners. Maintaining sound knowledge of diverse industry trends and technologies, the Sales Specialist is responsible for leveraging their expertise, along with the experience of other D&H experts, to build, position, and sell new and advanced solutions, programs, and services. The specialist candidate will be expected to participate in reseller sales calls with D&H wider sales organization to successfully sell and promote Cisco products, services, and subscriptions.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide proactive and timely presales support to internal teams and partners, ensuring alignment with partner requirements and business goals.
- Prepare and deliver accurate quotes, configurations, and supporting documentation in response to partner or sales requests.
- Manage shared inbox and call queue, prioritizing and resolving inquiries efficiently to maintain service level agreements (SLAs).
- Support partner enablement efforts by delivering product knowledge, process training, and ongoing guidance on programs, tools, and resources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth handoff from presales to post-sales.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, pricing models, and promotional programs to support quoting and partner discussions.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to documentation, training content, or workflow updates that drive efficiency.
- Backup Senior Sales Specialist as needed.
- 1-3 years working in sales or marketing.
- Experience working in electronic sales is a plus.
