Information Technology Security Administrator

e&e is seeking an IT Security Administrator for an opportunity in Harrisburg, PA!

Responsibilities:

• Identify, assess, prioritize, and help remediate security vulnerabilities across the organization.
• Assist with the implementation and management of new security technologies and systems.
• Monitor systems and analyze logs to identify potential security issues and suspicious activity.
• Participate in incident response and security investigations.
• Work on projects involving the integration or replacement of systems while ensuring security requirements are incorporated.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, systems, and other IT teams to implement practical security controls.
• Develop and improve security policies and procedures while balancing security requirements with usability for staff and students.
• Assist with security-related projects and initiatives and be capable of independently owning assigned projects.
• Support the organization's overall vulnerability management and security monitoring programs.

Qualifications:

• Strong technical background in systems administration, particularly Windows and/or Linux environments.
• Experience transitioning from systems/infrastructure administration into a cybersecurity-focused role is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools and remediation processes.
• Experience with security monitoring and log analysis.
• Familiarity with incident response processes.
• Understanding of network security, system security, and application security concepts.
• Experience implementing or integrating security technologies into an enterprise IT environment.
• Rapid7 experience is a plus.
• Experience with Kali Linux, Parrot OS, or similar security/testing tools is a plus.
