Key Accountabilities

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and provide L2 support for Value Added Services (VAS) platforms, primarily SMSC and USSD.
  • Manage production incidents, perform impact assessment, lead incident bridge calls, and ensure timely resolution within defined SLAs.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical incidents and drive preventive and corrective actions.
  • Perform system administration and troubleshooting on Linux servers.
  • Develop and execute basic to intermediate automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to improve operational efficiency.
  • Execute basic database administration and troubleshooting activities on MySQL and Oracle databases.
  • Monitor application health, system performance, and service availability while proactively identifying potential risks.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Customer Support teams for issue resolution, deployments, and change management activities.
  • Support software upgrades, patch deployments, and production releases while ensuring minimal business impact.
  • Maintain operational documentation, incident reports, and knowledge base articles.
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL processes, operational governance, and customer SLAs.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of GSM network elements and their interaction with telecom applications.
  • Possess working knowledge of Operating System Virtualization concepts to support virtualized environments.
