The ALIS system provides the critical IT infrastructure supporting the F-35 Lightning II, enabling aircraft planning, maintenance, logistics, and sustainment. In this expatriate role, you will help ensure the security, availability, and integrity of mission-critical systems that support aircraft readiness and operational effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will have strong systems administration skills, attention to detail, and experience working in a mission-critical or military environment.
As critical members of the F-35 Operations Team, all ALIS administrators must be able to:
- Obtain and maintain Special Access Program clearance required for program access
- This is an operational support role to active fighter units. Administrators must be willing and able to travel for military deployments/detachments (ship and/or shore) for extended periods of time dependent upon operational needs.
- Capable of working various shift hours to include weekends to support customer mission requirements.
- Candidates offered a position may be required to complete a pre-employment medical exam that is designed to ensure capability to deploy with our military customer, which may be to austere environments with limited access to medical care.
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Interacting daily with users and ALIS/LM leadership
- Backups, restores, and disaster recovery of systems/databases/network equipment
- System/database/software/firewall/account maintenance and monitoring
- Installing system wide software, allocating mass storage space
- Maintaining smooth, secure operation of multi-user computer systems through coordination with peers, Tier2 and engineers
- Reviewing processes/procedures, collect system operational data for analysis
- Laptop re-image, troubleshooting, account maintenance
- Regular monitoring of systems/applications for availability and performance
- Candidates must have a DOD Secret Clearance with and investigation within the last 6 years.
- Must have and retain DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security+, CySA+, or CCNA).
- IT experience of any combination in system/database/network administration.
- Must be willing and able to deploy in support of the United States Navy.
- Experience with three of the following: Powershell; Virtual Machines; DNS/DHCP;SQLPlus; RMAN; data import/export; Layers 2&3; firewalls; Splunk; Trellix products
- Experience Troubleshooting Web based Applications
- Account Maintenance with Active Directory/Oracle/CRM
- Disaster recovery: backups and restores of physical servers, virtual machines, databases and network equipment
- Virtual Machine Management Service (Hyper-V / VMware)
- Maintaining/upgrading system hardware and startup/shutdown of rack components
- Applying updates, anti-virus/anti-spyware updates, and patch updates
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux System Administrator
- Importing/Exporting large data volumes
- Familiarity with Lockheed Martin products and processes, to include the JSF ALIS hardware and software
- COMSEC Processes and Procedures knowledge
- A US DoD Top Secret Clearance
- Experience working for or supporting the US military/Foreign Military

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
