Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and administer enterprise Linux environments primarily based on RHEL.
- Build, maintain, and enhance standardized RHEL Gold Images in accordance with security and compliance standards.
- Perform OS upgrades, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and lifecycle management for Linux systems.
- Administer and maintain Red Hat Satellite infrastructure, including server provisioning, patch management, and content management.
- Develop and implement automation solutions using Ansible, including creating playbooks, roles, and automation frameworks.
- Automate server provisioning, configuration management, patching, and operational processes employing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Shell scripting to improve operational efficiency.
- Lead and support infrastructure modernization, platform upgrades, data center migrations, and cloud integration projects.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to onboard and support enterprise systems and platforms.
- Create and maintain documentation, operational procedures, and standards to ensure consistent system support.
- 7+ years of enterprise Linux administration experience.
- Extensive experience working with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Proven experience building and maintaining RHEL Gold Images.
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat Satellite administration.
- Strong skills in automation using Ansible Automation Platform.
- Proficiency in scripting with Bash, Shell, or Python.
- Experience creating and deploying RPM packages supporting enterprise applications.
- Support for large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and system optimization skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation capabilities.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
- Knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Experience with VMware, virtualization, or hybrid cloud environments.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Red Hat certifications such as RHCSA or RHCE.
