Accounting Manager - HYBRID Work Schedule!

StevenDouglas is exclusively engaged on a newly created Accounting Manager opportunity with a well-established Florida-based company. This is a strong step up for someone doing close work today without fully owning it. The close calendar, task tracking, and cross-functional coordination are all being built from scratch, so you'd own execution while helping shape the process itself. You'd also lead a team of Accountants and Senior Accountants and contribute to an ERP modernization and the automation projects tied to it.

The role offers a hybrid schedule with 3 days/week work from home!

What you'll actually do:

• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close and consistently hit deadlines
• Own the close calendar, task tracking, and cross-functional coordination
• Review and approve journal entries, accruals, and adjustments; own GL integrity
• Oversee account and bank reconciliations and subledger-to-GL alignment (AP, Fixed Assets)
• Analyze variances and get ahead of risks, errors, and unusual trends
• Partner with Financial Reporting, FP&A, and Treasury on accurate financial inputs
• Support internal and external audits
• Drive standardization and automation across accounting processes
• Lead and develop a team of Accountants and Senior Accountants

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong GAAP and general ledger/close background
• 2+ years of prior leadership experience preferred
• CPA preferred
