Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize software development processes to improve quality, efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate process design into development operations across multiple development teams.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs and enhance product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with software development principles, Honeywell Aerospace processes, data driven quality analysis & compliance, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical support and direction for software development processes.
  • Conduct process deployment, evaluation, and analyses to identify areas for improvement (CPI).
  • Document process designs, specifications, and procedures.
  • Analytical skills & software process development skills

Report to: Director of Engineering

Work Scedule: Hybrid - 3 days onsite and 2 days remote after 90 days

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 2+ years of experience with supporting software engineering efforts from development or process perspective
  • Experience with structured software development processes and tools

WE VALUE:

  • Understanding various software development lifecycles (AGILE & Waterfall)
  • Understanding various software development process methods (SEI CMMI/CMM, AGILE / SAFE Agile)
  • Six Sigma or Lean development methodology (Green Belt or Black Belt)
  • Demonstrate the ability to evaluate, document, and improve development processes in a Continues Process Improvement methodology (CPI)
  • Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices and associated control tools (e.g. GIT/Bitbucket and JIRA)
  • Experience developing or managing software in certified or regulated safety environments (e.g. DO-178, MIL-STD 883)
  • Effectively communicate subtle or complex messages in a diverse team environment
  • Can quickly analyze and apply new information & concepts and make timely decisions balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENT

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.​
