• Leading a team of system administrators, providing direction, guidance, and support in their daily
activities, setting performance goals, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a positive and
collaborative team culture.
• Overseeing the administration, configuration, and management of applications and services , ensuring their availability, performance, and security. This includes managing application servers,
databases, middleware, and other components of the application and service stack.
• Managing and resolving incidents related to applications and services, coordinating with relevant teams,
and ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
• Identifying and addressing recurring issues, analyzing root causes, and implementing permanent fixes to
prevent future incidents.
• Planning, coordinating, and implementing changes to applications and services, ensuring proper testing,
documentation, and communication to minimize risks and disruptions.
• Managing relationships with vendors and third-party service providers, coordinating support and
maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
• Monitoring and analyzing the performance and utilization of applications and services, identifying areas
for optimization, and implementing performance tuning measures.
• Ensuring applications and services are secured and compliant with relevant policies, standards, and
regulations, including data privacy and protection requirements.
• Maintaining documentation of application and service configurations, processes, and procedures, and
providing regular reports on team performance, incident trends, and service levels.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimization, and driving initiatives
to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of application and service administration activities.
Skills
• Strong understanding of the technical aspects of the applications and services being managed. This
includes knowledge of operating systems, databases, networks, and other relevant technologies.
• Effectively lead and manage a team of administrators. This includes setting goals, providing guidance,
delegating tasks, and motivating team members to achieve their best performance.
• Dealing with complex technical issues and challenges and be able to analyze problems, identify root
causes, and come up with effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and other departments . This
includes both verbal and written communication skills.
• Skilled in planning and organizing tasks and resources to ensure that projects are completed on time and
within budget. This includes creating project plans, setting priorities, and managing resources efficiently.
• Adapt to changes in technology, processes, and priorities. This includes being flexible in approach and
open to learning new skills.
• Ensure that the team follows proper documentation practices, such as documenting system
configurations, changes, and incidents.
Qualification
• The period of work experience in the job field should be (6) years or more for holders of a bachelor’s
degree or holders of a master’s degree (national cadre - third degree).
Experience
• 6 years or more in the same or related field.
