Middleware Technical Support Engineer

For a well-known Islamic Bank, we are looking for Middleware Technical Support Engineer to be responsible for the administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and support of enterprise middleware platforms that enable integration between applications and backend systems. Ensure high availability, performance, security, and timely resolution of production incidents while supporting business-critical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and support middleware production environments 24x7.
- Troubleshoot application, middleware, and infrastructure issues.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions.
- Deploy and validate application releases.
- Support incident, problem, and change management.
- Monitor system health, availability, and performance.
- Coordinate with application, infrastructure, database, and vendor teams.
- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Perform capacity planning and performance tuning.
- Support Disaster Recovery (DR) testing.
- Automate operational tasks using scripting.
- Ensure compliance with security and operational standards.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of Middleware/Application Support experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise production environments.
- Experience with WebLogic, OpenShift, API Gateway, and Unix/Linux.
Required Technical Skills
OpenShift & Container Platforms
- Strong experience in OpenShift administration and Kubernetes fundamentals
- Proficiency with oc command operations, including: Pods, Deployments, ReplicaSets, Services, Routes, ConfigMaps, Secrets Logs and Events monitoring. Rollout management, scaling, and resource utilization
Oracle WebLogic
- Expertise in Oracle WebLogic administration
- Domain and cluster configuration and management
- Node Manager operations and application deployment
- JVM tuning, thread/heap analysis, and connection pool optimization
- Security management, including SSL configuration
Middleware & Integration Technologies
- Administration of API Gateways
- Experience with IBM MQ and JMS messaging
- Development and integration of REST/SOAP Web Services
- Knowledge of load balancing and reverse proxy technologies (F5, NGINX)
- Familiarity with IIS and Tomcat (preferred)
Database Platforms
Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:
- Oracle Database
- Sybase ASE
- Microsoft SQL Server
