Position Summary
We want a skilled Network Systems Infrastructure Engineer to build, run, and scale our core computer and network systems. You will manage local data centers, cloud connections, and multi-site routing to keep our company online and secure. You will bridge the gap between low-level hardware and high-level cloud architecture, fixing hard problems and automating daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Operations: Design, configure, and support enterprise routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
- Systems Administration: Manage physical and virtual servers (Linux and Windows Server), plus hypervisors like VMware and Nutanix.
- Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure: Maintain hybrid connections, virtual private clouds, and storage volumes in platforms like AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Monitoring & Security: Track network traffic, patch systems, harden endpoints against threats, and enforce security rules.
- Troubleshooting: Act as tier-three escalation support to fix complex routing, hardware, and uptime failures.
- Capacity Planning: Track hardware health, forecast future data growth, and plan network upgrades.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years working in IT infrastructure, network engineering, or systems administration.
- Networking Protocols: Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPN tunnels, and DNS/DHCP.
- OS & Virtualization: Strong command of Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments, alongside VMware vSphere or Hyper-V.
- Cloud Platforms: Hands-on setup experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS).
- Hardware & Cabling: Familiarity with enterprise data center switching, rack stacking, and fiber/copper structured cabling.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Preferred Certifications
- CCNA or CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Azure Administrator
- CISSP or CompTIA Security+
