Overview/Job Responsibilities
- Installs, upgrades, and troubleshoots network equipment and software
- Creates and maintains documentation relating to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records
- Establishes and documents network technical support processes and procedures
- Practices network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications
- Monitors and tests network performance and provides network performance statistics and reports
- Able to communicate effectively with other project groups such as cybersecurity, network, operations, and Project Management, during the installation and troubleshooting of system components
- Supports all updates to documentation when there is a change in the transport design and/or technologies, while collaborating with stakeholders
- CONUS/OCONUS travel required
- Minimum of seven (7) years of applicable experience listed in the roles and responsibilities
- Experience in one or more of the following disciplines: Layer 3 routing TCP/IP, Cyber Security Operations/Administration
- Understanding of networking and fundamentals of network troubleshooting
- Understanding of network transport design, equipment, and infrastructure
- Ability to work in remote locations with minimal support, lift a minimum of 50 lbs, and be comfortable working with your hands and using tools
- Current Security +
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Salary range- $135,000-$155,000
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with NetBrain, Solarwinds, ServiceNow, NETSCOUT nGeniusONE, Elastic and ITSM
- Knowledge of/experience with space mission systems
- Familiarity with VM, Linux, and/or Windows environments
- Experience with field-based work in government/contractor data centers and colocation facilities
