Job Summary
The Operations Quality Engineer will be responsible for the coordination and execution of the technical topics for the Operations Quality functions in interaction with the Customer/Supplier/Corporate Quality Departments of DEUTZ Corp and the Operations Quality Group from Deutz AG.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Monitor workflows, processes, and products, and create quality documentation in relation to operations/production activities
- Maintain and control documentation for Operations and the Quality Operations system
- Process implementation and improvement of Operations Quality relevant processes. Analyze the effectiveness and resource usage of these processes.
- Monitoring and analyzing quality performance within Operations Quality and Production related departments/activities. (PPM/FTQ/COPQ/etc.)
- Internal project responsibility: Participation and representation of Operations Quality in assigned project team meetings and activities.
- Coordination of Operations Quality responsibilities for PPAP requests on internally produced goods
- Assist with the coordination of cross-functional teams (CFT) to resolve internal issues and develop root cause analysis and containment activities with the Corporate Quality Group
- Assist with Internal Audits related to Operations Quality in cooperation with the Corporate Quality team
- Participate and lead different strategic quality projects and continuous improvement projects with the Operations Quality team
- Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
- Effective and professional oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and re-prioritize effectively
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills

- Anticipated domestic and international travel is approximately 0-10% depending on business needs.
- Bachelors degree in engineering or 5+ years of progressive experience
- Minimum 2 years previous Quality Assurance experience
- Excellent knowledge of technical English language
- Knowledge of diesel engines and experience with hybrid or electric drive systems
- Knowledge of tools and methodology as well as ISO standards
- Knowledge of the German language
- SAP knowledge a plus
- Industrial manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
- Combination of office and shop floor work
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
