Senior IT Support Specialist

NetGain Technologies is looking for a Senior IT Support Specialist to join our engineering team.

This role is designed for experienced engineers who enjoy tackling complex technical challenges, mentoring others, and serving as the escalation point when standard troubleshooting isn't enough.

If you're the person other engineers call when they're stuck, enjoy digging into root causes, and take pride in solving problems others can't, we'd love to talk.

What You'll Do

• Resolve complex issues escalated from Level 1 and Level 2 support teams.
• Troubleshoot advanced server, networking, cloud, security, and VoIP environments.
• Identify root causes and implement long-term solutions to recurring issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams across the organization to solve technical challenges.
• Create documentation and knowledge base articles that help elevate the entire team.
• Mentor junior engineers and share technical expertise.
• Participate in maintenance activities and critical issue resolution as needed.

• Deep understanding of Windows Server, networking, and infrastructure technologies.
• Ability to diagnose complex problems across multiple technical disciplines.
• Excellent communication skills with both clients and teammates.
• Strong documentation habits and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and effective during high-priority situations.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years in an advanced support, NOC, systems administration, or engineering role.
• Associate degree, bachelor's degree, equivalent experience, or combination of certifications and experience.
• One or more of the following certifications, or willingness to pursue certification after hire:
• Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator
• Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert
• CCNA
