The HR Administrator serves a s key point of contact for employees and visitors, providing administrative support across recruiting, onboarding, benefits, and employee records management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties as assigned.
- Maintain employee records and HRIS data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Facilitate pre-employment activities such as background screening, pre-employment drug screens and physicals, travel arrangements, and employment verifications.
- Ensure a positive onboarding experience and assist employees throughout their transition into the organization.
- Provide administrative support for recruiting activities, including interview scheduling, candidate communications, and applicant tracking.
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, leave programs, and general employment matters.
- Assist employees with benefit enrollment, life event changes, open enrollment processes, and benefit-related inquiries.
- Support employees with system access, HRIS navigation, and login-related issues.
- Escalate complex employee concerns to appropriate HR team members when necessary.
- Maintain training records and support compliance tracking requirements.
- Assist with required employment postings, regulatory reporting, and audit preparation.
- Support employee communication initiatives and company-wide HR programs.
- Ensure HR processes align with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
- Assist with HR projects and departmental initiatives as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- One to three years of administrative, Human Resources, payroll, or office support experience required.
- Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
- Experience supporting employee onboarding, recruiting, or benefits administration preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong customer service mindset with a commitment to supporting employees and managers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members across the organization.
Work Environment
- Frequently seated while working on a computer.
- Frequently travel to production floor.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, and lift office supplies or files up to 25 pounds.
