Manager, Cloud Infrastructure & Security

About the Role

Channel Fusion is transitioning from a services-heavy channel marketing company into a product-led, AI-enabled platform business. That shift depends on infrastructure that is secure, resilient, and built to scale. This role replaces the Senior DevSecOps Engineer position, restructured to add formal team leadership as the function matures — owning platform reliability, security engineering, disaster recovery, and DevSecOps strategy, while managing a small team of DevSecOps and infrastructure professionals and our MSP relationships.

This is a hybrid role: hands-on technical ownership combined with people leadership. You'll set the technical direction, manage the team executing it, and be the primary point of accountability when Engineering, Product, Security, and Executive Leadership need answers about platform reliability and risk.

Reports to: Director, Technology Solutions

Direct reports: Small team of DevSecOps and infrastructure professionals

What You Own

Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Operations

  • Overall health, availability, and operational stability of production environments
  • Infrastructure modernization roadmap, including cloud migration and regional resiliency
  • Cloud architecture standards across Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments
  • Infrastructure-as-code and automation adoption

Security Operations & DevSecOps

  • DevSecOps strategy and security engineering program
  • Vulnerability management, security monitoring, threat detection, and remediation
  • Security tooling: GitHub Advanced Security, vulnerability scanning, monitoring platforms, secrets management
  • Embedding security into the SDLC across engineering teams

Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

  • DR and business continuity strategy
  • RTO/RPO targets — established and tracked
  • Regional redundancy and failover design, including authority to trigger a DR failover during an active incident
  • DR testing cadence and resiliency exercises

Infrastructure Reliability & Incident Response

  • Platform reliability metrics: uptime, availability, MTTR, incident trends
  • Operational leadership during major incidents
  • Root cause analysis and corrective action
  • Runbooks, escalation procedures, and recovery playbooks

MSP & Vendor Management

  • Primary technical owner of MSP relationships
  • Vendor performance, SLAs, and accountability
  • Infrastructure contract reviews and architecture planning with providers

Compliance & Risk

  • SOC, privacy, security, and client compliance support
  • Audit readiness and risk assessments
  • Infrastructure and security governance standards

Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor DevSecOps and infrastructure team members
  • Set team goals, priorities, and operational processes
  • Build technical capability across the team

What You Do NOT Own

  • Budget — this role has no budget ownership. Infrastructure and vendor spend above existing approved contracts requires sign-off from the Director, Technology Solutions.
  • New vendor/MSP contracts and material changes to existing ones require Director approval before execution.

What Great Looks Like at 12 Months

  • Measurable uptime, MTTR, and reliability metrics are established and tracked
  • A multi-year infrastructure resiliency roadmap exists
  • DR and regional redundancy capabilities are measurably stronger than at start
  • Security posture has improved through DevSecOps automation and governance
  • MSP management and vendor accountability are optimized
  • A scalable cloud/security architecture strategy is in place to support growth
  • Operational risk is down; service reliability and recovery outcomes are up

Qualifications

Required

  • 8+ years in infrastructure, cloud engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps, security engineering, or related fields
  • 3+ years leading technical teams or managing infrastructure operations
  • Strong Microsoft Azure experience; production SaaS/enterprise platform experience
  • Experience working with MSPs, hosting providers, and cloud vendors
  • Experience developing DR/BC strategies
  • Deep understanding of networking, security architecture, IAM, incident response, infrastructure operations

Preferred

  • AWS, multi-region and hybrid cloud experience
  • Terraform/OpenTofu/Bicep, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
  • SOC processes, compliance frameworks (SOC 2, GDPR, PIPEDA)
