Schedule: Fully on-site (9am-5pm)

Employment Type: 12-month contract (recurring up to 3 years)

Pay: $30-35/hr (40hrs a week)

Summary

The Lab Integration Specialist will support our Medical Device customer’s Central Solution Delivery team as a part of the Global Support organization. This Puerto Rico based team will be responsible for executing upgrades across our customer’s digital laboratory product portfolio, specifically, Infinity or Navify Lab Operations. In this position you will be responsible for end-to-end activities throughout the middleware upgrade all the way through go-live including the build, configuration, and testing of middleware, global collaboration, and other support activities for the US affiliated team.

Key Responsibilities

The Lab Integration Specialist will own end-to-end execution of middleware and digital platform upgrades, including:

• Lead upgrade lifecycle activities from initiation through pre-go-live:
• Site engagement and kickoff coordination
• System builds and configuration
• Testing preparation and execution (up to dry testing)
• Documentation and readiness for affiliate handoff
• Perform hands-on technical work, including:
• Middleware configuration and system builds
• Troubleshooting integration and data flow issues
• Supporting validation and testing activities
• Execute high-volume upgrade delivery, working across multiple sites and systems in parallel
• Collaborate closely with:
• US affiliate teams
• Global hub teams (including Brazil and Spain)
• Internal Roche technical and delivery leads
• Ensure consistent communication and coordination through go-live, with a strong team-based delivery model

Required Qualifications

Technical Experience

• Hands-on experience with laboratory middleware systems (any platform; Roche preferred)
• Strong experience in system build, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of healthcare integration standards (e.g., HL7, ASTM)
• Proficiency in SQL for:
• Data validation and extraction
• Troubleshooting and issue resolution
• Understanding database structures and performance considerations
• Experience with InterSystems IRIS (or similar) and object scripting is a plus
• Familiarity with Windows Server environments and virtualization platforms (VMware, vCenter, Hyper-V)

Domain Expertise

• Understanding of laboratory workflows and operations, including pre-analytics and analytics processes
• Ability to bridge IT and laboratory environments (hybrid skillset preferred)

Language & Communication

• Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
• Strong communication skills, with ability to:
• Coordinate with global teams
• Partner closely with affiliates through go-live
• Operate effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with Roche middleware or digital lab platforms (e.g., nLO)
• Experience supporting system upgrades vs. net-new implementations
• Exposure to high-volume, repeatable delivery environments
