Responsibilities:

• Provide site-based engineering and construction supervision services during project delivery.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with contract requirements, specifications, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
• Support project teams in coordinating contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Assist in the management of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements on site.
• Review construction records, method statements, inspection reports, and technical documentation.
• Identify and escalate technical, commercial, and programme-related risks and issues.
• Initiate inspection, witnessing and acceptance of works
• Support testing, commissioning, handover, and close-out activities.
• Prepare progress reports and contribute to project performance reporting.
• Participate in site meetings and provide technical advice to project stakeholders.
• Support the resolution of construction and technical issues during project execution.

Qualifications:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience in construction supervision, site engineering, or project delivery within infrastructure, transportation, rail, utilities, or major civil engineering projects.
• Understanding of construction processes, quality assurance, and contract administration.
• Familiarity and experience with NEC contracts.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary project teams.
• Experience with safety management within construction environments.
• Experience of working in operational railway environments/possessions is desirable.
• Relevant HSE training or site safety certifications are beneficial but can be obtained following discussion with the employer.
• Membership of a relevant professional institution is advantageous, but not a must.
