Role Description The Junior Functional Consultant is a full-time, hybrid role based in San Juan, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. In this role, the consultant supports the implementation and configuration of Visual K’s manufacturing and maintenance software, working closely with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into functional solutions. Day-to-day tasks include participating in requirements gathering, documenting processes, assisting with system setup, conducting functional testing, and supporting data validation. The consultant also helps deliver user training, provides post-implementation support, and collaborates with senior consultants, technical teams, and client stakeholders to address issues and optimize system usage. Over time, the Junior Functional Consultant is expected to build deep knowledge of Visual K’s products, industry best practices, and client operations.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of business processes in manufacturing, maintenance, or related operational environments.
- Ability to analyze requirements, document workflows, and translate business needs into clear functional specifications.
- Basic understanding of ERP or business software systems, with interest in configuration, testing, and implementation activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with clients, internal teams, and stakeholder groups.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a structured approach to troubleshooting and quality assurance.
- Comfort with hybrid work arrangements, including on-site client interaction in San Juan and remote collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proficiency in common office and collaboration tools; experience with data analysis or reporting tools is a plus.
- Willingness to learn Visual K’s software suite, industry standards, and implementation methodologies, with a strong customer-service mindset.
- Fluency in English; Spanish language skills and experience in multinational or multi-currency environments are beneficial.
