Job Title: Platform Quality Engineer – Integration & Interoperability

Location: 100% Remote

Work Authorization: USC Only

Contract: 12 months Contract-to-Hire (CTH) possible


Candidate must complete the "Platform Quality Engineers (Integration & Interoperability)" Glider assessment


Job Overview

We are seeking a Quality Engineer with experience testing healthcare data integrations and interoperability solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with APIs, SFTP, Kafka, EHR platforms, FHIR, HL7, data validation, and source-to-target reconciliation.

The role involves planning, developing, analyzing, and executing critical software engineering quality processes across the enterprise. You will work closely with project and application teams to ensure quality goals are incorporated into business solutions and provide recommendations for continuous process improvement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, analyze, and execute software quality processes.
  • Perform data analysis and identify risks and issues within key processes.
  • Participate in problem-solving and quality improvement sessions.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and quality deliverables.
  • Perform integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
  • Validate healthcare data exchanges and interoperability workflows.
  • Perform source-to-target data mapping and reconciliation.
  • Support defect management, reporting, and resolution.
  • Collaborate with application and process owners on continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance on software artifacts, testing processes, and quality standards.
  • Work independently while collaborating effectively with Agile delivery teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience; 4+ years may be considered for a strong match.
  • Experience with source-to-target data mapping.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience analyzing business problems and needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong technical and communication skills.
  • Experience with healthcare data integration/interoperability testing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • FHIR experience – 1–3 years.
  • Kafka experience – 1–3 years.
  • Agile experience – 1–3 years.
  • Healthcare or health insurance industry experience.
  • HL7 v2/v3 testing knowledge and experience.
  • Experience with APIs and SFTP.
  • Experience testing EHR platforms such as Epic and Oracle Health.
  • Experience with test automation and data validation.
