Systems Test Engineer

Location: Bradenton, FL

Base Salary Rate: $86,216.00 to $101,430.00

About This Role

As Systems Test Engineer you will be responsible for review, coordination and execution of all Design Integration and Validation Test activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent Design Test Validation team throughout new product development process
• Define and develop Integration and Validation test scope, strategies and plans based on product functional requirements including software, hardware, communication, networking and regulatory agency requirements.
• Manage Design Integration and Validation test projects including test schedules, human and test equipment resources, design and build testing infrastructure, modify existing infrastructure and manage risks
• Specify, design and develop test automation tools using high level programing languages and hardware
• Review, approve and document test results to determine test acceptance
• Develop project budgets and capital cost requirements
• Drive effective corrective and preventive actions in response to validation, field and customer failures
• Provide mentoring and guidance to test technicians
  

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3+ years’ experience as a Systems Test Engineer in Hardware, Firmware & Software design and testing environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• Excellent engineering documentation skills, verbal communication and presentation skills
• Strong background in Hardware, Firmware and Software design and testing environments
• IP Network test experience
• Large system or networked system test
• Fire alarm system products and markets
• Regulatory agency experience with UL, ULC, FM, CE and CPD
• Skilled use of standard lab equipment including oscilloscopes, meters, powers supplies and other measurement instruments
• Proven ability to support multiple projects in fast-paced deadline-driven environment
• Proficient with MS Office tools (Excel, WORD, MS Power Point, MS Project)
• Product validation or related fields
